How HIFU Works

HIFU is a gold class and truly a remarkable breakthrough in technology, offering a non-invasive alternative to a surgical procedure, a MUST have treatment option. HIFU is a safe effective treatment also used in the medical field for treating various cancers, brain tumours, epilepsy, and other conditions.

HIFU targets the same layer of skin addressed in cosmetic surgery, bypassing the outer skin layers. Instead of using lasers which infiltrate the skin from the outside in, HIFU bypasses the surface of the skin, and delivers targeted energy specifically into the deep, structural tissues and muscles where collagen lives.

The HIFU treatment works by penetrating the skin with ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the deep dermal and subdermal (SMAS) levels, resulting in micro injury to that tissue. Tissue at the targeted depths of 4.5mm 3.0mm and 1.5mm is heated to 65c creating thermal coagulation points, spaced wounds, and cellular friction. By causing controlled damage to our existing collagen, it promotes our body and fibroblasts (cells in the connective tissue that produces collagen and other fibres) to produce much more collagen than what was damaged plumping up our skin and reversing the signs of aging such as skin laxity, fine lines, and wrinkles.
